The Story
In the enchanting debut of the Ella the Restless Princess™ series, titled Ella the Restless Princess - The Shadowy Path, young readers are introduced to Princess Ella, whose restless energy and curiosity lead her to incredible adventures. Ella’s journey starts when she stumbles upon a hidden path that opens a portal to a magical world. In this fantastic realm, she explores whimsical places like the Hot Chocolate Swamp, where chocolate-covered frogs and marshmallow creatures play in a creamy sea, and the Valley of Giant Cherries, where enormous cherries dangle from towering trees. Along her path, Ella encounters a colorful cast of characters, including the grumpy Angry Sphere, the bubbly and wise Cherry Fairy, and her new friend, Scoop. Together, Ella and Scoop uncover endless magic and excitement, setting the stage for many more adventures.
Adults
The illustrations in each chapter book were intentionally left without color and designed to resemble pages in a coloring book. Why, you ask? The idea is to invite children (and adults) to use their imagination to bring the characters and scenes to life, using crayons and colored pencils—whatever sparks their creativity. While the book may describe the colors of particular objects, the reader can choose their own. Maybe they see Ella with red hair or a purple tiara. The possibilities are endless. And while we often tell our children, “Don’t color in your books,” this time, it’s encouraged. I invite everyone to add their artistic touch to the journey. This way, everyone becomes an active part of the story. As a child, I often wanted to color in my books, and now I finally can. Let the coloring begin!
